Luxembourg Space Agency at the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026)

The Luxembourg Space Agency was at the 77th International Astronautical Congress along with 9 LU space ecosystem companies!

Antalya, 9 October 2026 – At this year’s International Astronautical Congress (IAC), the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) showcased the strength, innovation, and collaborative spirit of the Grand Duchy's space sector on the global stage.

Together with key companies from the national ecosystem, LSA represented Luxembourg. The delegation included Tumi Robotics, Amphinicy Technologies, Lunar Outpost, Bradford Space, ClearSpace, the European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC), Exobiosphere, Odysseus Space, and adwäisEO.

International cooperation remained central to Luxembourg's participation as the congress provided the perfect setting for strategic bilateral meetings with partner space agencies from around the world, including the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the UAE Space Agency (UAESA), the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), IN-SPACe (India), the National Space Agency of Singapore (NSAS), and the Australian Space Agency (ASA).

A major milestone was the official five-year extension of the space cooperation agreement between LSA and the Italian Space Agency (ASI) signed by the Luxembourg Space Agency’s Interim CEO, Ruy Pinto, and Ambassador Mario Cospito, Special Commissioner of the Italian Space Agency (ASI).

The Luxembourg pavilion served as the rendezvous point for meaningful conversations with partners and colleagues from across the international space community and for enabling new connections. Designed to resemble a traditional Luxembourgish café, the pavilion displayed the nation's unique cultural specificities.

To bring this warm, convivial atmosphere to Antalya, LSA collaborated with Luxembourgish illustrator Marc Jost. With a touch of humor, Jost created a series of characters depicting the country’s beloved culinary staples and traditions— beer, Mettwurscht, Wupp, Kachkéis, Gromperekichelchen, and pins from the famous Luxembourgish game of skittles—all dressed as astronauts.

These charming characters decorated the walls of the stand, and as always, Luxembourg made sure its guests didn't leave empty-handed. Visitors dropping by had the opportunity to win special stickers of the astronaut-themed culinary delights and receive commemorative keychains, bringing a true piece of Luxembourgish culture home with them.

The mission concluded fantastically and the LSA is looking forward to the next edition!
