AIRMO Sarl
Core business
AIRMO S.à.r.l. is the Luxembourg-based downstream software arm of AIRMO, specialising in methane emissions intelligence. It develops and operates Global Insights, a B2B subscription platform that turns satellite, aerial, ground-sensor and economic data into asset- and company-level emissions figures. Customers are energy operators, asset managers and development finance institutions, governments, NGOs and consultancies who need measurement-based evidence for the EU Methane Regulation, OGMP 2.0, CSRD/ESRS E1 and ISSB/IFRS S2. AIRMO S.à.r.l. is a sister company to AIRMO GmbH (Germany), which develops the satellite constellation and airborne sensors.
Products & services
Global Insights is a cloud platform for methane emissions intelligence. It ingests satellite products, airborne and ground measurements, and operator-reported inventories, and fuses them into a single view of emissions across assets, companies and regions. It covers detection and quantification of point-source and area emissions. Global Insights provides MRV-grade reporting and is aligned with OGMP 2.0 and the EU Methane Regulation.
Technical means
Machine learning retrieval: neural network models for methane retrieval from SWIR spectra, and validated against airborne campaign data.
Data fusion: algorithms combining satellite, airborne, ground-sensor and economic data at differing resolutions and revisit rates, with quantified uncertainty.
Attribution and reconciliation: attribution of observed plumes to individual assets, and reconciliation of measures against operator-reported emissions.
Infrastructure: cloud-native processing, hosted in the EU.
Main customers
Energy operators and midstream/LNG companies (such as TotalEnergies, Enercity, Uniper); asset managers and development finance institutions; national regulators and environmental agencies; NGOs and consultancies.
Major space projects
Global Insights: Scalable cloud platform for processing greenhouse gas data products, integrating multiple data sources enhanced with data fusion algorithms and MRV reconciliation.
AIRMO constellation: development of micro-LiDAR and SWIR spectrometer payloads, with the first satellite launch planned for Q3 2027.
