Luxembourg and the European Space Agency support TerraSpark to develop large-scale wireless power demo

The Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) and the European Space Agency (ESA) have awarded a multi-million Euro contract to TerraSpark under the LuxIMPULSE National Space Programme to build a 100-meter wireless power transfer demonstration. Moving into its execution phase following a successful ESA design review, the "Earth Spark" project aims to validate high-efficiency, long-distance wireless power transmission on Earth as a stepping-stone toward space-based solar power generation. In addition to testing ground-based physics, the two-phase contract supports R&D into advanced space solar cells and rectenna concepts, reinforcing Luxembourg's strategic capabilities in clean energy innovation and positioning its industry at the forefront of space-to-Earth energy solutions.
